How to create a Crypto Wallet with MetaMask

Step 1: Download MetaMask extension or app.

Visit metamask.io and click on “Download”. Choose which browser or mobile device you are on and install the MetaMask extension.

MetaMask supports Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge browser extensions, along with IOS and Android apps.

Step 2: MetaMask installation.

Click on the newly downloaded MetaMask extension and click on “Get Started”.

Since this is your first one, click on “Create a Wallet”.

Step 3: Creating a new MetaMask wallet.

In the next window click on “I agree” if you would like to help MetaMask improve or click on “No Thanks”.

Step 4: Secure your wallet with a strong password.

Step 5: Record the seed phrase for your wallet.

Click on “Click here to reveal secret words” to view your seed phrase.

Your seed phrase gives you access to your wallet and all the private assests in the wallet. MetaMask requires that you store your seed phrase in a safe place. It is the only way to recover your funds should you need it.

If you lose your seed phrase, MetaMask can’t help you recover your wallet and your funds will be lost forever.

Never share your seed phrase or your private key to anyone or any site, unless you want them to have full control over your funds.

Click on “Next”.

Step 5: Store your seed phrase in a secure location.

Confirm your seed phrase by clicking on each word in order. Click on “Confirm” to proceed.

Congratulations! You have successfully made a MetaMask wallet.

Access your wallet by clicking on the MetaMask icon at the top-right-end corner of your browser.

You can also download the app on you mobile device and access your wallet from there.
